Happy kids at a T-Rex show in Iowa

Thaddeus Rex’s high octane concerts get kids excited about reading!!

With songs inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Captain Underpants, Green Eggs & Ham, Charlotte’s Web, and more, Thaddeus shows kids how important books are to his ‘Rock Star’ career. As he says, “I love this job. I get to sing rock and roll all over the world, but couldn’t do any of it if I didn’t read everyday. I find all my best ideas inside books.”

Never preachy, Thaddeus doesn’t overtly tell kids they need to read. He shows them how important books are to his own career. They see his passion, enjoy his energy, dance to his music and realize all this incredible excitement is only made possible by reading.

Free Lesson Plans and CD recordings help teachers reinforce his message in the classroom. While his best songwriting ideas do come from books, Thaddeus tosses in just enough non-fiction to 'keep it real!' Listen for yourself with the T-Rex Jukebox.

Now he’s getting kids writing too! Audiences are invited to submit poems to his online writing contest. People across the country vote for their favorites. He helps the winning young author turn their poem into a song for his next album, and they become a professional songwriter, earning royalty checks for their work. Every participant receives a certificate commending their ability to ‘Write Like a Rock Star!!’ and it’s all free. Check out the CONTEST PAGE for more details.

Please beware of Martian Televisions, hilarious antics and Thaddeus Rex's signature brand of contagious enthusiasm.
