Too much T.V.

Woke up one night
was the middle of the night
T.V. was on but nothing was really on
Headed to the potty
flicked on the flight
and
AGGGG!!
I was a T.V.!
A big grey T.V.
Antenna for my ears
my face on a T.V. screen!!
shhhhhh
I even had a cord sticking straight out of my.....
I guess I'd watched
Too much T.V.
So NO MORE T.V. for me!!
I think I'll go read a book!!

1st Runner-up: Christina I. of Rochester, MI (4th Grade)

SEASONS

SPRING
The beauty of the flowers
the birds lovely songs in the air.
The cold fresh water
the flowers greeting air.
The green grass in between my fingers.
SUMMER
The hot blazing sun in my face
the cold refreshing punch
the cool relaxing water in the pool.
The hot, fresh air and the warm laughter of the sun.
AUTUMN
The leaves falling off the trees
the cold, sweet apple cider and
the bumpy pumkins.
The warm, tasty pumpkin pie
the rustling of the leaves.
WINTER
The snow falling from the sky

the blazing fire burning and
the melting, warm smell of cholcolate chip cookies.

Bowl Me Over!

I love rolling the ball
I hope I get a strike
I try hard not to fall
It’s the sport that I like

It’s exciting to hit the pins
It’s exciting to get a spare
I always want to win
But it’s best to play fair

Not to be funny
Not to be quirky
I don’t want a bunny
I want a turkey!

When it’s all done
We turn in our shoes
I think of how it was fun
I hope we go again soon!

Luke S. of Rochester Hills, MI (1st Grade)
