Justin Bieber was Attacked by Beavers!!

The kids today got pretty creative and I had a great time. Several of them were very adamant that Justin Bieber must be relentlessly bashed by this song, but other kids were big fans of Bieber and wanted him praised...

Not an easy line to walk, trying to keep them all happy. The best plan, perhaps, is for you kids to continue working and make two different songs, one vilifying Bieber and one exalting him. Then you can continue listening to whichever you prefer. But for now, you're gonna have to be satisfied with this hybrid. Regardless of your opinions regarding Bieber and his talent (or lack thereof), I hope you enjoy the silliness. I loved working with you all!

Roller Coaster Bed

Had a great time in the quad cities last week. The Bettendorf, IA Public Library hosted a writing workshop as part of my time there. It was fantastic!!

He's just cuckoo!!

If you ask me, He's just cuckoo. If you ask me, his mind is jumping off the plane without a parachute.

What a great metaphor! These kids in Strongsville, OH were particularly adept at writing. But it should be no surprise, because the group of kids I got to work with were the top performers in a reading contest held at Drake Elementary. The more you read, the more you rock...
